Nicholas Shapiro

Nick Shapiro is a Principal on the Digital Solutions team and Vice President at UPMC Enterprises, the innovation and commercialization arm of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. At UPMC, he focuses on sourcing and executing investments in digital health and healthcare technology companies, the launch of new businesses built upon UPMC advances, and portfolio management.

Mr. Shapiro joined UPMC Enterprises from the Boston Consulting Group.  He previously held roles at the Brink’s Company in corporate development and at American Capital and Houlihan Lokey. He serves on the board of directors at Arkos Health, RxAnte and sovaSage, as a board observer at Moxe Health, Signallamp Health, BrainCheck and Redesign Health, and as a board member of the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association.

Nick graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Commerce and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
